Ventura County Support Services

The Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC) contracts with the State of California to provide supports and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities living in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties.  

The Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is responsible for the implementation of the Ventura County Special Education Plan, and insuring a free appropriate public education to all students with identified disabilities.

Area Board 9 is one of 13 Boards in the State of California designed to protect and advocate the rights of all persons in the area with developmental disabilities.

The Ventura County Autism Society (VCAS) is a Chapter of the Autism Society of America.  VCAS is a local resource for current information on autism awareness, support groups, advocacy, etc.

The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABA International) is a nonprofit professional membership organization with the mission to develop, enhance, and support the growth and vitality of behavior analysis through research, education, and practice.

California Association for Behavior Analysis (Cal ABA) is a professional membership organization with the mission to advance the profession and practices of behavior analysis.

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB) is a nonprofit corporation with a mission to develop, promote, and implement a voluntary international certification program for behavior analyst practitioners.

The American Psychological Association (APA) is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychologists in the United States.

California Board of Psychology protects the safety and welfare of consumers of psychological services

The Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies is a nonprofit, charitable organization whose mission is to advance the scientific study of behavior and its humane application to the solution of practical problems, including the prevention and relief of human suffering.

The Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis is a psychology journal that publishes research about applications of the experimental analysis of behavior to problems of social importance.
